Consists of a photograph of Hilda Pauline Rosengard at the piano, taken at her home in Roxbury, Mass; a fundraising letter dated May 13, 1927, that was sent to NEC alumni asking for financial support for a new Conservatory building, accompanied by a booklet entitled Mater musica : the New England Conservatory of Music, 1867-1927, printed to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of NEC's founding; and two pieces of correspondence relating to the donation of this collection.

Hilda Pauline Rosengard was born on Nov. 27, 1898 and grew up in Roxbury, Mass. At New England Conservatory, she studied piano with Stuart Mason and graduated in 1919. She married Nat Krinsky and they had two sons, Paul and Edward, and four grandchildren. Nat Krinsky, who had been an All-American backetball player at City College in 1921, was the long-time coach (baseball, soccer, basketball, and track) at James Madison High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
